Bliss, Where Art Thou?

Bliss, Where Art Thou?

Bristle Cone pine branches
Bryce Canyon, Utah

Bliss, we will not follow
It will find us
In the quiet moment
When we’ve been liberated
By a new thought
A different awareness
An unfurled curiosity
An unexpected path

And all of these
We explore in our unconsciousness
And savor in our mouths
With a flickering candle our witness
Against a shadowed wall
Next to an open window
Granting a soft breeze
That will dry the dewpoint
