How brazenly you shimmer
Reclining beneath
A humpbacked moon

Smoldering red
Scintillating
Against crushed velvet

You scorch the air around you
With crimson flames
And glowing embers

Your star fire
Has engulfed us
In its fury

Blistering the ebony night
With each flash
Of a luminous face

The visage I now gaze
Tenderly upon
After the tumult

While the heat dissipates
Leaving silver moon drops
Upon celestial bodies
