About

By day I’m a teacher of music and art; on my own time I tend to have several creative projects going at once.  I’ve had different professions – from engineering to corporate administration to finance and investment – throughout my evolution.  But the constants in my life have always been writing, music, art and science.

From the time I could first hold crayon to paper, I loved to fill the pages with words or my own artistic creations.  I taught myself to play the piano until the notes on the sheet music began to reach the upper registers, at which point I begged my mother for piano lessons.   In the intervening years, guitar and bass have achieved equal prominence in my life.  Play-Doh was turned into the Solar System, and as I grew older, the science volume of Child Craft Encyclopedia became my favorite.

I am an appreciator of nature, preferring long hikes in my local hills to shopping expeditions.  On cloudless nights, you will find me in the backyard at all hours, trying to locate a particular star or planet.  And a  morning spent working in the garden beats sleeping in any day!

The poems on this website (and in the book) were all inspired by Art, Music, Film, Science and Other Realms.  For instance, the poem “Archangel” was inspired by a film of the same name by director Guy Maddin; the poem “E.A.P” was inspired by Edgar Allen Poe; “X3.2” was inspired by a massive solar flare that occurred in May 2013 . . . and underlying the poems are references to (either subliminally, or blatantly in some cases) “love,” but they’re not love poems per se.  Perhaps they could be thought of as the life forces of two people in the context of their joining together in a way that is the culmination of, and the conception of, new creativity.

I do hope you enjoy your journey through my website.  Unless otherwise noted, all photographs, artwork, writing and music are mine.  Please return for another visit, as I will be updating the site on a regular basis!
