Cosmos Echoes

GRB 110328A A 3.8 billion-light-year galaxy with a supermassive black hole that has swallowed a bypassing star. Image credit: NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope, Wide Field Camera 3 April 4, 2011       A pale shimmer Beyond her darkened face A fragranced effusion Along a vaulted trajectory So far and away At last receiving Our hypnotic whispers The doomed star In a black hole’s grasp The fading light And flickering dust Burning out Her death cry A wrenching echo LiNdA        ...

El color del cielo El color del agua El color de esperanza Into infinity We journey Set adrift On a blanket of blue Búsqueda una verdad Encontrando un alma Nos unimos en paz Albrazamos el futuro An ethereal home Our spirits inhabit The tranquil hour Of our dreams LiNdA

Alice in the Looking Glass

If Alice were to look once more Through her looking glass Would she see you and me? Would we be upside down Or right side up Or sideways Lying on a bed of stars Under a blanket of grass Looking up at the Earth Would we begin at the end Or finish in the past With the middle replayed Does the candle’s drip Fall upward The wax no longer pooling The flush on the cheek Faded to a pink smile Of anticipation Would you be me And I, you Or are we mirror images Which makes for Interesting conversation With regard to intents and purposes Because as we know For all intents and purposes We speak the same language But your words would come Out of my mouth And mine from yours Each saying essentially The same thing only different Thus confusing poor Alice Who might pout and knit her brow Trying to make sense of The complete absurdity Which we both know Is a consequence Of living in a looking glass world For if we insist on making sense Then we wouldn’t have ended up here To begin with So what would be the point Of us falling down the rabbit hole In search of Alice in the first place? Bristle Cone pine branches Bryce Canyon, Utah           Bliss, we will not follow It will find us In the quiet moment When we’ve been liberated By a new thought A different awareness An unfurled curiosity An unexpected path And all of these We explore in our unconsciousness And savor in our mouths With a flickering candle our witness Against a shadowed wall Next to an open window Granting a soft breeze That will dry the dewpoint...

Clouds of Saturn

From the palette of grey A blush emerges Tingeing a shy smile That eclipse now The Rings of Saturn Before our searching eyes Iridescent clouds Illuminating the magic Forming a spiral Fueled by the Solar Wind And the pull of Saturn’s enchantment A seductive aura And notes of mysticsm Descend from the sky We are ensnared In the roiling storm And beseech the Heavens We reach out our arms Grasping for deliverance Succumbing to the fever And the Clouds part To reveal The Shining Globe Whose rays blaze Across the Great Distance To light the beauty of The Rings That reflect back A cascade of gems Scattered upon the Clouds Which we gaze upon With awe and wonder Our hearts alive and joyous LiNdA    ...
