A Kip Encounter

Markarian 231 NASA, Hubble Telescope Dedicated to Kip Thorne and Freeman J. Dyson Who speak of black holes and worm holes Interstellar travel and Gravitational slingshots in a black hole binary   At the Black Hole horizon Your words sweep past my feet I am trapped for Eternity Awaiting your voice A whisper in my ears But the utterances have become A Singularity I shall dedicate a song To a Man living still Within a binary black hole And I will reach out with grasping fingers To pluck a handful of gravity And merge myself into the galaxy To open a wormhole through which I will crawl And there I will find your voice With your footsteps forever muffled Your hair radiating freely As on a purple coverlet We shall clasp hands In the fabric of space time For an earth equivalent of billions of years LiNdA  ...

Xochiquetzal

Xochiquetzal Caressed within Shimmering walls Of a jade temple Flowing rivers Anoint and bathe Preparing the blossom But the unforeseen path Has revealed itself To our destined Queen Written in ebony and cacao Premonitory words A metamorphosis mutation We await with vigilant eye The transcendent event Centuries unfolding From the time of the gods And fire volcanoes That will spit forth your ambered petals And we pray for them Your unborn wings To convey our souls To the next life in a forest of firs Your wings beating as a soft rain To arise again from steaming mists The Fertile Rituals We re-enact amidst amethyst streams To honor you, our Precious Flower     Xochiquetzal II A cloak of green From which streams of purple flow A Prince comes in homage paying As well to reign enduring The glass breaks But the candle remains Lit and burning A soul stirring Our knees pressed Into lavender arms Balm from bruised fronds wafting A pannier of amaranth and silver We alight upon your ambered petals Flightless, molten pinions Our broken bodies crying out Cradled on feathered bittersweet Hearken, Death’s song The soft rain of wings beating Stilled before the fir forests Of steaming mists A realm beyond the jade temple And walls of glistening crystal Where we, too, have dwelt In the Time of Gods, as gods And the fire volcanoes That spewed lava wings Now your burial shroud That we may cling to flight LiNdA  ...

Utuquel

You open your mouth To swallow the Moon A sacred wafer You chew upon it And from between your teeth Spills silver beams A luminous note Falls from your ear With a mystical tone It lands on my breast And burrows into my heart To pulse an enchanted rhythm Your hair is a fountain A spray of lunar nectar It tastes soft and sweet A white tablet is your belly Upon which I imprint a song With trembling lips It becomes a poetic mist A shimmering ode to the Moon And to the one who has eaten of it...

Melting of Spring

With your arrival commences The sweltering of the earth Shivering blue voices Give way to liquid amber tones   Pale hues Turn anguished sienna The flames of the fire Have begun to rage Consuming the last Tendrils of timidity Erupting into a Dance of Adoration While the Ancestors look on The vigorous stamping Of Ancient Rhythms Radiates to a final burst Then collapses upon itself And pools of wax From lighted candles flow LiNdA

Dark Shadows

A candle, snuffed A moon beam, slivered An inkblot, dripped A penumbra, presaged A silhouette, trembled A mountain, crested A vapor, diffused A water drop, splashed A breath, quieted A voice, silenced An eye, shuttered A dream, portended LiNdA

Leap Year

Through a silent dreamscape Muffled voices chanced to speak Following an absence Where Destiny could not choose The outcome A separation of time and space Borne of an unwinding 11th dimension Did propel us to distant galaxies The potential for a broken string Hanging on the loom And so came the 11th Hour When all might have been lost But for the salvation of a sunrise Followed by a sunset And a force that stopped the hands of the clock As an orange colored mist Draped down Obscuring the stars Yet revealing the double halos Of incandescent lamps Our hair dampening Under heavy vapors Shoulders chilled Standing before Our...
