Drizzle

Big Sur, California

This night embraced by clouds
Their dusky kisses nest in your hair
And on your brow nuzzle softly

A cool dampness upon my mouth
Tropic oceans flavor my tongue
A whispered message of trade winds

Our skin scented of sweet perfume
From an orchid hid between stones
Her fragrance clings to the egret

A silent traveler upon my roof
The quiet hush to drip from leaves
On a shadow to the ground below

Placid lilies lift their heads
Parted lips to sup the mist
This gentle, flowing caress

To a billowing vapor
In a twisting vent
An ambrosial emulsion

The fevered hammer
To languid iron subdued
The grey veil fluttering

Drops dulcet voiced
Pastilles from the nimbus
A chimed chorus singing

A stream of wisps
Too slight to grasp
Clad in silvertones glistening
