Leap Year

Through a silent dreamscape
Muffled voices chanced to speak
Following an absence
Where Destiny could not choose
The outcome

A separation of time and space
Borne of an unwinding 11th dimension
Did propel us to distant galaxies
The potential for a broken string
Hanging on the loom

And so came the 11th Hour
When all might have been lost
But for the salvation of a sunrise
Followed by a sunset
And a force that stopped the hands of the clock

As an orange colored mist
Draped down
Obscuring the stars
Yet revealing the double halos
Of incandescent lamps

Our hair dampening
Under heavy vapors
Shoulders chilled
Standing before
Our Stonehenge
