Mama Quilla

(Ceramic Sun/Moon wall hanging found at local garden store)

She kisses his face
Casting silver drips

Upon scorching lips
That consume her

She strays too near
But longs to taste

The golden rays
That escape his smile

And she lies for a while
In the arms of her god

He reclines his head
Upon her pale breast

The heat of his chest
Warms the darkling

For there is no shining
When it is her hour

She holds him in her power
Eclipsing now as they are
